==Personal life==
Hoppus met former [[MTV]] talent executive Skye Everly in August 1999, at a rehearsal for the music video of "[[All the Small Things]]", and they later married on December 2, 2000. According to a 2004 interview, she initially refused to date him. Hoppus elaborated, "Tom [DeLonge] always used to embarrass me. Any girl he'd talk to, he'd say, 'Hey, you wanna go on a date with Mark?'
