Later in the same year Chad sent 850 troops to Central African Republic to help peacekeeping operation MISCA, those troops withdrew in April 2014 after allegations of human rights violations.<ref name=":1" /> During the [[Boko Haram insurgency]], Chad multiple times sent troops to assist the fight against [[Boko Haram]] in Niger and [[Nigeria]]. In August 2018, rebel fighters of the Military Command Council for the Salvation of the Republic (CCMSR) attacked government forces in northern Chad. Chad experienced threats from jihadists fleeing the Libyan conflict.
