In December 2014, the molds were purchased from Imagin Systems by Mike Kennedy, owner of the [[Kickstarter]] funded ''Retro Videogame Magazine'', to propose a new crowdfunded video game console, the [[Chameleon (video game console)|Retro VGS]],<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.retrovgs.com/|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150703182244/http://www.retrovgs.com/|url-status=dead|archive-date=July 3, 2015|title=Home|date=July 3, 2015|access-date=December 27, 2016}}</ref> later rebranded the Coleco Chameleon<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.retrovgs.com/|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160114164829/http://www.retrovgs.com/|url-status=dead|archive-date=January 14, 2016|title=Home|date=January 14, 2016|access-date=December 27, 2016}}</ref> with a licensing agreement with [[Coleco]].
