In the [[2015 Swiss federal election|2015 federal election]] the most popular party was the [[Swiss People's Party|SVP]] with 25.4% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the [[Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland|CVP]] (22.5%), the [[FDP.The Liberals|FDP]] (19.5%) and the [[Social Democratic Party of Switzerland|SP]] (17.2%). In the federal election, a total of 9,438 votes were cast, and the [[voter turnout]] was 55.4%. The 2015 election saw a large change in the voting when compared to 2011.
