==Awards==
The organisation hosts the annual World Athletics Awards, formerly the World Athletics Gala until 2017, at the end of each year to recognise the achievements of athletes and other people involved in the sport. Members may also be inducted into the [[IAAF Hall of Fame]] as part of the ceremony. Separately, the World Athletics Heritage Plaque award was launched in Dec 2018.
