==Preservation== On 8 February 2007, the [[Royal Air Force Museum Midlands]] opened the National Cold War Exhibition at [[RAF Cosford]] in Shropshire to tell the story of the Cold War. This exhibition brought together static displays of all three types of V bomber in one location for the first time. The museum's director general, Dr [[Michael A. Fopp]], stated the goal was "people will leave feeling better informed about what happened in the second half of the 20th Century."<ref>{{cite web |publisher=BBC News Channel |title=Cold War history exhibition opens |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6240697.stm |date=8 January 2007 |access-date=22 May 2018}}</ref> [[Vulcan XH558]] (Civil Registration G-VLCN), flew until October 2015, funded by public donations. It was displayed at air shows and events. In the AirSpace hanger after preservation by Duxford Conservation Team.]] On 26 September 2022, at [[Imperial War Museum Duxford]], Victor XH648 was put on display after 8 years of restoration at the museum - Funded by donations from the public - costing Β£450,000. Veterans who flew the aircraft were invited to observe its official unveiling in the museum before it was put on public display.
