SoHo and [[Greenwich Village]] generally have a higher rate of college-educated residents than the rest of the city. The vast majority of residents age 25 and older (84%) have a college education or higher, while 4% have less than a high school education and 12% are high school graduates or have some college education. SoHo and Greenwich Village's rate of elementary school student absenteeism is lower than the rest of New York City.
