The engineers Fenton Holloway won the [[IStructE Awards|IStructE Award]] for Heritage Buildings in 2006 for the restoration of ''Great Britain''. In May of that year, the ship won the prestigious [[Gulbenkian Prize]] for museums and galleries, now known as [[Museum of the Year]].
