Midland residents are represented in the [[Texas Senate]] by Republican [[Kevin Sparks]], District 31. Midland has been represented in the [[Texas House of Representatives]] by Republican [[Tom Craddick]], the former [[Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives|Speaker]] from District 82, since 1969.
