== Last years ==
After returning to France, Weygand was held as a [[Collaborationism|collaborator]] at the [[Val-de-Grâce]] but was released in May 1946 and cleared in 1948. He died on 28 January 1965 in Paris at the age of 98. He had married Marie-Renée-Joséphine de Forsanz (1876-1961), the daughter of Brigadier General Raoul de Forsanz (1845-1914), on 12 November 1900. They had two sons, Édouard (1901-1987) and Jacques (1905-1970).

Beirut still holds his name on one of its major streets, [[Rue Weygand]].
