The following English rebellions took place against the House of Tudor:

** The first was the Rebellion of the [[Stafford and Lovell Rebellion|Stafford brothers]] and [[Viscount Lovell]] of 1486, which collapsed without fighting.{{Sfn|Chrimes|1999|p=69}}
** In 1487, Yorkists led by [[John de la Pole, 1st Earl of Lincoln|John, Earl of Lincoln]] rebelled in support of [[Lambert Simnel]], a boy who was claimed to be the [[Edward Plantagenet, 17th Earl of Warwick|Earl of Warwick]],{{Sfn|Chrimes|1999|p=72}} son of Edward IV's brother [[George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence|Clarence]] (who had last been seen as a prisoner in the [[Tower of London|Tower]]). The rebellion began in [[Ireland]], where the traditionally [[Yorkist]] nobility, headed by the powerful [[Gerald FitzGerald, 8th Earl of Kildare|Gerald, Earl of Kildare]], proclaimed Simnel King and provided troops for his invasion of England.
