Covering the leak for ''[[Ars Technica]]'', Sam Machkovech found that the gunfights were "surprisingly solid", with "punchy sound design and powerful weapons", and resembled the ''[[Soldier of Fortune (video game)|Soldier of Fortune]]'' series.
