The main highway serving Vernon Township is [[New Jersey Route 94]]. Other significant roads passing through Vernon Township include [[County Route 515 (New Jersey)|County Route 515]], [[County Route 517 (New Jersey)|County Route 517]] and [[County Route 565 (New Jersey)|County Route 565]]. [[County Route 644 (Sussex County, New Jersey)|County Route 644]] and [[County Route 641 (Sussex County, New Jersey)|County Route 641]] also pass through the township. In addition, direct access to [[Interstate 80 in New Jersey|Interstate 80]] is offered via [[New Jersey Route 94|Route 94]], and [[County Route 565 (New Jersey)|County Route 565]] to [[New Jersey Route 23|Route 23]] to [[Interstate 84 (east)|Interstate 84]] in New York.
