Jewish texts predict that the Mount will be the site of a [[Third Temple|Third and final Temple]], which will be rebuilt with the coming of the [[Messiah in Judaism|Messiah]]. The rebuilding of the Temple remained a recurring theme among generations, particularly in thrice daily [[Amidah]] (Standing prayer), central prayer of the [[Jewish liturgy]], which contains a plea for the building of a Third Temple and the restoration of [[Korban|sacrificial services]].
