Salisbury is governed by a [[city council]], which was chaired by the [[mayor]], Karen Alexander. The current representative is Republican [[Harry J. Warren]]. Salisbury is represented in the [[North Carolina Senate]], as part of the 34th district, by Republican [[Andrew Brock]] as a part of the 34th district. Senator Brock also represents [[Davie County, North Carolina|Davie County]].

On the national level, Salisbury is a part of [[North Carolina's 8th congressional district]].
