==Present day== Each year the society organises more than 60 concerts of classical music played by the orchestra.<ref name=hm200>{{Harvnb|Henley|McKernan|2009|p=200}}</ref><ref>{{Citation | url = http://www.liverpoolphil.com/?lid=728| title = What's On: Classical Music| access-date = 7 December 2009| publisher =Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society}}</ref> It arranges other events in the hall, including performances of pop, rock, folk and jazz music and comedy shows.
