The [[United States Preventive Services Task Force]] stated, as of 2013, that there was insufficient evidence to recommend for or against screening for glaucoma.<ref>{{cite journal | vauthors =  | title = Summaries for patients. Screening, however, is recommended starting at age 40 by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.<ref name=Man2015/>
