On 19 May 2014, the [[United States House of Representatives]] passed {{USBill|113|H.R.|1209}}, to award the Doolittle Raiders a [[Congressional Gold Medal]] for "outstanding heroism, valor, skill, and service to the United States in conducting the bombings of Tokyo."<ref name=1209sum>[http://beta.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/1209 "H.R. 1209 – Summary"] {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140521031215/http://beta.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/1209 |date=21 May 2014 }}.
