Mustaine was raised as a [[Jehovah's Witness]]<ref name="autogenerated1987"/> and is now a [[born again]] [[Christians|Christian]].<ref name=autogenerated2/> In 1988, in response to the British government's [[Section 28]], Mustaine said: "More power to them. It says in the Bible that men should not lay with men like they lay with women. Mustaine had practiced [[black magic]] in his teenage years, which inspired several songs on Megadeth's second album, ''Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?'' Mustaine stated that he no longer wishes to play those tracks because of his changed spiritual beliefs. He said of one such song, "[[The Conjuring (song)|The Conjuring]]":
