The [[Constitution of the Republic of Serbia]] determines that in the regions of the Republic of Serbia inhabited by national minorities, their own languages and scripts shall be officially used as well, in the manner established by law.<ref>Official Gazette of Republic of Serbia, No.1/90</ref>

In the 2002 Census, the last carried out in Serbia, 1.5% of Vojvodinians stated Romanian as their native language.
