The chimney of the Grade II listed [[Tulketh Mill]] was designed by engineer Fred Dixon of Bolton for the Tulketh Spinning Company and dates from 1905. It has its own Grade II listing, the designation record describing it as "very tall, forms group with associated mill, both being very prominent landmarks to the north-west of the town".<ref>{{NHLE|num=1279845|desc=Chimney to Tulketh Mill|grade=II|access-date=29 February 2024}}</ref>
