[[Syria]] had 528,616 registered Palestinian refugees in January 2015. There were 9 UNRWA refugee camps with 178,666 official Palestinian refugees.<ref name="UNRWA2015"/>

As a result of the [[Syrian civil war]], large numbers of Palestinian refugees fled Syria to Europe as part of the [[European migrant crisis]], and to other Arab countries.
