The university offers around 275 educational programmes and some 1400 courses. Several programmes and courses are offered in English, allowing foreign students to study at the university. The university offers 6 of the 10 most popular master's programs in Sweden (2021), in terms of the numbers of applications. One of the most famous innovations based on research from Lund University is [[diagnostic ultrasound]], which is today a routine method of examination in hospitals around the world. Other
