==Demography==
In the ten years from the time of the 2001 census, the population rose from 9,445<ref name="Ward statistics">{{cite web | url=http://www.richmond.gov.uk/cenkew.pdf | title=Statistics from the 2001 Census of Population for Kew Ward | publisher=[[London Borough of Richmond upon Thames]] | date=23 August 2005 | access-date=12 June 2013 | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131017192522/http://www.richmond.gov.uk/cenkew.pdf | archive-date=17 October 2013 | url-status=dead | df=dmy-all }}</ref> to 11,436,<ref name=ons/> the sharpest ten-year increase in Kew since the early 20th century.  This was partly accounted for by the conversion of former [[Thames Water]] land to residential use, and increases in property sizes.  The figures are based on those for Kew [[Wards of the United Kingdom|ward]],<ref name="Ward statistics"/> the boundaries of the enlarged parish having been adjusted to allow for all wards in the [[London Borough of Richmond upon Thames|borough]] to be equally sized.
