[[Caucasus Emirate]] is a fundamentalist Islamic terrorist group residing primarily in the [[North Caucasus]] of [[Russia]]. Many of their fighters are also present in jihadist battlegrounds such as Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and throughout Central Asia. Many plots involving Chechen and other indigenous ethnic groups of the North Caucasus have also been thwarted in Europe over the recent years.
