== Awards and honors == Garbo was nominated four times for the [[Academy Award for Best Actress]]. In 1930, a performer could receive a single nomination for their work in more than one film. Garbo received her nomination for her work in both ''Anna Christie'' and for ''Romance''.<ref name="Kennedy1999">.
