Within Flagstaff, there were over 100 arrests relating to other narcotics crimes.<ref name=":22" />

The overwhelming majority of NAU PD recorded crimes are related to drugs and alcohol, with hundreds of arrests each year and over 1500 disciplinary referrals in 2018. The second-most recorded area of crime on the campus is gender based violence (rape, domestic abuse), with a few dozen cases. There are over 160 [[Emergency telephone|blue light phones]] on the campus; each has a large button that connects directly to NAU PD and provides the location of the call to them.<ref name=":21" />
