[[Accrington Library]], on St James Street was built in 1908 as a [[Carnegie library]]. It has a [[stained glass]] window by [[H. Near the [[Tesco]] supermarket, there is Accrington Skate Park which is popular during the school holidays. On Broadway, Accrington Police Station serves the Borough of [[Hyndburn]]. In April 2003, Hyndburn Community Fire Station opened, also serving the Borough of Hyndburn.
