Fifty-one people died from [[Christchurch mosque shootings|two consecutive terrorist attacks]] at the [[Al Noor Mosque, Christchurch|Al Noor Mosque]] and the [[Linwood Islamic Centre]] by an Australian white supremacist carried out on March 15, 2019. The terrorist attacks have been described by Prime Minister [[Jacinda Ardern]] as "One of New Zealand's darkest days".
