Old Town Temecula, the city's downtown district, is a collection of historic buildings, hotels, museums, event centers, specialty food stores, restaurants, boutiques, gift and collectible stores, and antique dealers. In 2002, the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians opened the $262&nbsp;million [[Pechanga Resort & Casino]] outside city limits.
