By 2014, [[Stanford University Libraries]] (SUL) had twenty-four libraries in total. [[Lathrop Library]] (previously [[Meyer Library]], demolished in 2015), holds various student-accessible media resources and houses one of the largest [[East Asia]] collections with 540,000 volumes. The ''[[Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy]]'' is a leading [[online encyclopedia]] and academic resource on the subject of [[philosophy]], published and maintained by the university.
