Republic has a number of businesses that line Clark Avenue, the [[main street]] of town, including Anderson's Grocery, first established in 1900, the Republic Drug Store, established two years later in 1902, and the Stonerose Interpretive Center.{{cn|date=June 2024}} The Ferry County Memorial Hospital is the largest employer in the county. Swan Lake is small mountain lake {{convert|14|mi|km}} to the south of Republic and also serves to be a popular lake for local residents and tourists to visit.
