In 2021, 34.3% of the population consisted of [[visible minorities]] and 2.9% of the population was [[Indigenous peoples in Canada|Indigenous]], mostly of [[First Nations in Canada|First Nations]] and [[Métis in Canada|Métis]] descent. There was also a small number of [[Inuit]] in the province.
