==Politics== McIntosh County is a powerfully [[Republican Party (United States)|Republican]] county. The only [[Democratic Party (United States)|Democrats]] to carry McIntosh County have been [[Franklin D. Roosevelt]] in [[1936 United States presidential election|1936]] and [[1932 United States presidential election|1932]], plus [[Al Smith]] in 1928.
