== Government ==
The City of Liberty operates under a [[Mayor–council government|Mayor–Council]] form of municipal government. The mayor acts as an executive and oversees the day to day operation of the city. The council acts as a legislator and enact ordinances, levy taxes, adopt a budget and set compensation. The mayor is elected at-large.
