In November 2020, South Korea and China agreed to work together to mend South Korea's relationship with North Korea. During a meeting between [[Moon Jae-in|President Moon]] and China's foreign minister, [[Wang Yi (politician)|Wang Yi]], Moon expressed his gratitude to China for its role in helping to foster peace in the Korean Peninsula.
