Raigmore is a teaching hospital for the universities of [[University of Aberdeen|Aberdeen]] and [[University of Stirling|Stirling]]. A Centre for Health Science (CfHS) is located behind the hospital. This is funded by [[Highlands and Islands Enterprise]], the [[Scottish Government]] and [[Johnson & Johnson]]. Phase I of this opened in early 2007, with phase II and phase III housing The Diabetes Institute opening in 2009. The University of Stirling moved its nursing and midwifery teaching operations from Raigmore Hospital to the CfHS. The [[University of the Highlands and Islands]] also has strong links with the Centre through its Faculty of Health.
