===Business routes=== {{main|Business routes of Interstate 96}} There have been six business routes of I-96 in [[Michigan]]. There are two [[business loop]]s designated Business Loop I-96 (BL I-96): one through [[Lansing, Michigan|Lansing]] and one through [[Howell, Michigan|Howell]].<ref name=MDOT12/> Both follow the old route of [[U.S. Route 16 in Michigan|US 16]], with appropriate connections to I-96.<ref name="MSHD64"/> There are three former [[business spur]]s that were designated Business Spur I-96 (BS I-96). One connected to the carferry docks in [[Muskegon, Michigan|Muskegon]], [[concurrency (road)|running concurrently]] with part of [[U.S. Route 31 Business (Muskegon, Michigan)|Business US 31]] (Bus.
