=== Plateau tribes ===
After the [[Modoc War]] from 1872 to 1873, [[Modoc people]] were forced from their homelands in southern [[Oregon]] and northern [[California]] to settle at the [[Quapaw Agency]], Indian Territory. The federal government permitted some to return to Oregon in 1909.
