===Loan words from Irish===
A [[Irish words used in the English language|number of Irish language loan words]] are used in Hiberno-English, particularly in an official state capacity. For example, the head of government is the [[Taoiseach]], the deputy head is the [[Tánaiste]], the parliament is the [[Oireachtas]] and its lower house is [[Dáil Éireann]].
