The bilateral countries between Australia and Norway were established diplomatic relations in 1905, following the Norway's independence since 1814.

Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1905, after [[Dissolution of the union between Norway and Sweden in 1905|Norway's independence]]. In 2004, [[Prime Minister of New Zealand|New Zealand Prime Minister]] [[Helen Clark]] became as the first Prime Minister to ever visits Norway.
