The [[Science Channel]] broadcast the 2021 science documentary series ''[[Killers of the Cosmos]]'' in a format it describes as "space noir." In the series, actor [[Aidan Gillen]] in animated form serves as the host of the series while portraying a [[private investigator]] who takes on "cases" in which he "hunts down" lethal threats to humanity posed by the [[cosmos]].
