The Kingdom of Denmark is a [[unitary state]] that comprises, in addition to metropolitan Denmark, two [[autonomous administrative division|autonomous territories]]<ref name="territory" /> in the [[Atlantic Ocean|North Atlantic Ocean]]: the [[Faroe Islands]] and [[Greenland]].
