Dalhousie's sports teams are called the [[Dalhousie Tigers|Tigers]]. The Tigers varsity teams participate primarily in the [[Atlantic University Sport]] (AUS) of [[U Sports]]. There are teams for basketball, hockey, soccer, swimming, track and field, cross country running, and volleyball. The Rams varsity team participates in the [[Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association]], a member of the [[Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association]]. Dalhousie has a number of athletic facilities open to varsity teams and students. Dalplex is the largest main fitness and recreational facility. As of 2010, through the efforts of alumni and devoted volunteers, the Dalhousie Football Club was reinstated.  Playing in the [[Atlantic Football League]] (AFL), the team operates on donations from alumni.  The team plays its home games at Wickwire Field.
