===Personal life=== Robson met Elsie Gray on a trip back to his parents' home in Langley Park.<ref name="ODNB"/> Gray was a student nurse, and later a teacher.<ref name="ODNB"/> They were married on 25 June 1955<ref name="ODNB"/> with Fulham teammate [[Tom Wilson (footballer, born 1930)|Tom Wilson]] as Robson's [[best man]].<ref name=Guardian21Sep09Memorial/> After 1991, Robson was repeatedly diagnosed with cancer.
