[[General Baptists]] are Baptists who hold to the view of unlimited atonement, believing that God died for every human being and not just the elect. These Baptists are generally closer to [[Arminianism|Arminian theology]], and the [[Free Will Baptist|Free Will Baptists]] belong to this grouping.<ref name="Jonas2008">{{cite book |last=Jonas |first=W.
