== Other ''Rocket''-type locomotives == ''Rocket'' was followed by a number of other engines of similar [[0-2-2]] layout with rear-mounted cylinders built for the L&MR before it [[Opening of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway|opened]] on 15 September 1830, culminating in the [[Northumbrian (locomotive)|''Northumbrian'']] (1830), by which time the cylinders were horizontal. Other engines of the ''Rocket'' design which were delivered to the Liverpool and Manchester railway included ''Arrow'', ''Comet'', ''Dart'' and ''Meteor'', all being delivered to the railway during 1830.
