===Nature of God===
Because of the [[Adoptionism|adoptionist]] view of Christ only becoming divine during his baptism and the dualist idea that God was to be expressed in male and female genders, Shakers are sometimes viewed as being [[Nontrinitarianism|nontrinitarian]].
