They met again in 1947 when she was in California with a theater company. In 1960, Burr met Robert Benevides, an actor and [[Korean War]] veteran, on the set of ''Perry Mason''.<ref name="Passport" /> Benevides gave up acting in 1963,<ref name="Starr"/>{{Rp|102–03, 120}}<ref name="Passport" /> and he became a production consultant for 21 of the ''Perry Mason'' TV movies.<ref name=Murphy3443>Murphy, Mary.
