===Personal life=== Hugo Sánchez was raised in the [[Jardín Balbuena]] neighborhood in [[Mexico City]] to a middle-class family. His father, Héctor Sánchez, was also a footballer who played for [[Asturias F.C.]] and [[Atlante F.C.]] His sister, [[Herlinda Sánchez|Herlinda]], was an Olympic gymnast who participated in the [[1976 Summer Olympic Games]] in [[Montreal]]. Sánchez credits her for his acrobatic skills, including his signature somersault goal celebrations. His son, [[Hugo Sánchez Portugal]], was also a footballer and played for UNAM and Atlante. He also has two daughters from his current marriage.
